Wear your good walking shoes to explore the trail to the ancient petroglyph field. Marvel at the contrast between lush green carpets of kukui grass, verdant flora of every description, and the varied textures of lava on all sides.

A five-minute walk from your villa, the Kings' Shops offer unique shopping in art galleries, gift stores, and gourmet restaurants such as Roy's Bar and Grill and Big Island Steak House . All this overlooking the golf course, and across from the Kings Shops. The Queen's Marketplace offers a gourmet grocery store, dive shop, retail shops, and a variety of additional restaurants!

Two golf courses are available at the Waikoloa Beach Resort; the Beach Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and the King's Course (the clubhouse and King's Grill are a five-minute walk from your villa, designed by Tom Weiskopf. You will also find several other world-class golf courses within 15 minutes of your villa including the Mauna Lani course, host of many past Senior Skins Games with its signature over-the-water 15th hole; the Mauna Kea (a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course); and Hapuna Beach designed by Arnold Palmer.

Upon availability, Camp Menehune at the Hilton is available to non-Hilton guests and offers activities for children five and older so you can have a day to yourself to plan an adventure or just relax. Take advantage of the resort spa's located at the Hilton and Marriott. Also within a 2-minute drive is the famous Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay) beach with all the joys of white sand, trees, snorkeling, and more. Further down the road (10 to 15 minute drive) are other local beaches, whether you want the pristine white sands of Hapuna Beach, or the rocks, trees, and safe entry spots of nearby "Beach 69" (at mile marker 69). All of our units have a thick, well-thought-out guidebook to the local area, complete with sections describing Waikoloa Beach Resort and all its offerings, important phone numbers, Big Island life information, a guide to beaches, shopping, activities, Luau/Dining, and Golf.
