Excellent, from the minute I opened the door I was really pleased with everything. The condo was the best, the pool was amazing and the grounds were impeccable. One thought is there be a 24/7 help line to address any questions. We were stuck over the weekend until Monday, and had only until 2 pm to call. The pool needs to figure out how to stay open until 11 pm. My suggestion is to use their security person to be at the pool after 8 pm. You are already paying them why not further use them to help the guests. This was a great experience, thank you. Mahalo
We had a glorious time in this first floor condo. We were on the ocean and spent every morn drinking our morning coffee searching for whales...which we did see.(brng binaculars) This condo was private yet close to the pool and fitness center. The pool and cafe were perfect. The food was great, staff very friendly and the view spectacular. The fitness center overlooked the ocean making exercise enjoyable. The pool was smaller than I expected but was just fine. This unit could use new towels and sheets. The carpet looked abused, even thought you could tell it was of great quality. This was not a big deal to me. The porch needed more chairs. Overall, the location was perfect. Walkers had a choice of an ocean view or a serious walk to shopping. It was great. The staff at this complex were helpful and accomodating. For a family this is certainly economical choice to stay versus an expensive hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at Hali'i Kai 13H. Perfect serene ocean-front location, spacious and luxurious apartment unit, close to fitness center and tennis courts. Ideal for serious relaxing as well as excellent access to many of the Big Island's top beaches. The lawn in back felt great between the toes; the visiting birds provided entertainment. Stars at night were beautiful. Resortica Hawaii staff were also very helpful. Just perfect.
Wonderful view, watched whales every day. Lots of room for 5 people, enjoyed our stay immensely.
We had a unit that overlooked the ocean and was near the pool. The unit itself was perfect for our needs; very clean, fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. The view was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed awesome sunsets each night of our trip. When we weren't at the beach, the family gathering place was the pool. The pool was clean and had a great design. Overall, I would rate our accommodations a 10+!
this is a fantastic condo. great location, very clean and upscale. resortica-hawaii is very helpful and courteous. only a few small requests to make it even better: condo needs at least two beach chairs (four would be ideal), beach towels need to be replaced, and the Ocean Club bar needs to stay open until sunset (it closes at 6:45pm). We would happily stay here again.
What a wonderful place! We would stay here again without question. One of the best views on the island.
this was the perfect condo, we found that we had a hard time leaving the patio. The whale watching boats came and parked right offshore but at times we hada better view of the whales frolicking.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hali'i Kai in unit #13H during the first week of August. I stayed there with my wife and 2 young children (ages 3 & 6) and my wife's wonderful parents. I decided on the Hali'i Kai after doing a lot of reseach online, and I decided on unit #13H after doing even more research, especially emailing back and forth with Kelli at Resortica Hawaii. Kelli was tremendous. I had never rented from a vacation rental agency before, so I had a ton of questions. To her credit, Kelli answered every one of my questions and did everything she could to help put me at ease with my decision. The Hali'i Kai resort itself was beautiful. My wife worked out in the outdoor workout area every day and loved it, and my kids swam every day at the swimming pool and loved it, too. My in-laws especially loved the beautiful sunsets that we watched from the pool area every evening. As for unit 13H, it was much better than I expected. It was a fantastic ocean front unit with a great view and more than enough room for all of us to feel comfortable. And it had everything we needed. In fact, it had everything we needed that we didn't know we would need...boogie boards, beach chairs and a big beach umbrella that we used daily at the great beaches up the coast from the Hali'i Kai. We were totally taken care of (and spoiled) by unit 13H and totally recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay on The Big Island. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Hawaii. Mahalo!

The property has a great location with a beautiful oceanfront site. The furnishings are all first class. The home has everything you need. The master bedroom and bath are very nice and spacious. The bed very comfortable with flat screen t.v.'s in all the rooms. We liked the location with just a short walk to the Hilton for restaurants, shops etc. The pool and restaurant at Hali i Kai are very nice. We hope to go back again next year and I would recommend staying here. It was better than I expected and loved the views and watching the whales. The kitchen is fully equipped with all highend appliances and just gorgeous. Thank you for a great experience.
We loved our week long stay at Hali 'i Kai in 13H. The condo was oceanfront and the whales put on a show for us all week long. Keli and Kim Horton were VERY helpful. We could not have been happier with the place. We used the pool and the tennis courts alot. The pool was icy cold at first but they did warm it up. It was never crowded and it is also a beuatiful location. I would highly recommend it!! Thanks so much!!
The only recommendation I would make would be that all the beds have mattress pads!!
The location in the gated community was at the end of the street, giving us a view of the ancient Hawaiian village and the ocean. We could imagine that we were in our own secluded home. Very peaceful, very relaxing. Superb support from staff. Thanks!

This property had an ocean view and was gorgeous. The condo was beautiful and the pool area was incredible.
it was a pleasure to spend time in this lovely unit. we were the first ones to stay in it and found it immaculate. the location was superb and on site management person was outstanding.
Stayed at this condo in early Dec. found the condo and the grounds to be immaculate and full of all the nice touches we really like in a vacation rental. We were really pleased with the size and quality of the place. Had a couple of small issues that hopefully will be taken care of ,with no outdoor grill and no phone while we were there. However with the clubhouse right there with it's members accessible grill we dealt with that easily. This development was a wise choice for our family. One must remember though that many of the condo's are not rentals but homes and a certain level of community and respect for our fellow residents was at all times required. We though found our neighbors to be friendly and great to visit with and we enjoyed the peace and quiet that came with the development.
Excellent views. Close to everything, but far enough to be quiet. Lots of bedrooms, but small living room. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Beautiful pool and workout room. Good restaurant. Very happy, no issues.
A map of the complex and the area shops would make it easier to know where everything is, without having to drive around. I believe someone was suppose to call so they could meet us at the condo and show us around but that did not happen. There is an interesting check out procedures which asked us to wash the sheets and towels so there would not be an extra cleaning charge. The location to the pool and view was wonderful. The condo was very nice.
